Val di Fiemme

Welcome to the entrance to the Dolomites. Discover Cavalese, the Valle di Fiemme, its forests and its mountains.

A sunny terrace facing the Lagorai mountain chain and from where you can admire the Pale di San Martino

The bell tower of the church of San Sebastiano stands over the village and in the historic center you can find local handcraft and sportswear shops , pubs, wine bars, quality restaurants, restored antique palaces, art centers and the splendid Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, guided tours take you through the Palace, the museum-gallery and the prisons of the nineteenth century.

The attachment of the population of the Valle di Fiemme to its territory and its deep-rooted self-government have in fact an authoritative foundation in the "Magnifica Comunità of the Val di Fiemme", an institution that dates back to the twelfth century, to which the bishop of Trento recognizes as a self administrative autonomy.

The Magnifica Comunità remains an institution which still operates today in the management of the immense forest heritage of the valley, important not only for the correct exploitation of the territory, but also for the maintenance of the historical, social and cultural identity of the valley.

Hier bleibt die Zeit fast stehen. Hier befindet sich ein Stück Geschichte von Cavalese.
